MOVA Technologies Raises $2 Million to Accelerate its Cutting-Edge Air Filtration Technology for Improved Farm Yields

September 13, 2023 (Pulaski, VA.) - MOVA Technologies is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of its Seed Round, raising $2 million in private investment. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the Ag Tech company as it continues to accelerate innovations in agricultural air emissions.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of our investors and the trust they have placed in us,” said John Schott, CEO of MOVA Technologies. “In this chapter, we will be expanding our team to accelerate product development, allowing us to bring our important technology to market faster.”
The funds will be strategically employed to foster innovation within MOVA’s primary sector - agriculture. This includes enhancing collaborations with the U.S. Department of Energy (USDOE) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), acquiring cutting-edge equipment for prototype development, scale-up, and testing, and recruiting technical talent for the Pulaski office, including researchers, chemists, and engineers. Additionally, resources will be dedicated to expanding business and partner development in key sectors.
MOVA Technologies has solidified a strategic partnership with both the Town and County of Pulaski, Virginia. This collaboration aligns with Pulaski’s triple bottom line approach to governance and positions it as a model for other localities embracing business-smart clean innovations. The joint venture promises to deliver substantial economic and workforce development benefits to the region, playing a pivotal role in rural revitalization through agriculture innovation.
Steve Critchfield, President and Founder of MOVA Technologies Inc., emphasized the economic impact of their innovation, stating, “Pollutants in the atmosphere like methane and ammonia are actually valuable commodities that are necessary inputs to many industrial processes. Our system will sustainably harvest and sell these products, adding to the bottom line of our customers.”
This funding marks a significant leap forward in MOVA Technologies’ mission to combat climate change and pursue a sustainable, carbon-neutral future. MOVA anticipates launching another Seed Round early in 2024, with a fundraising goal of $1 million.
